The CSA Group, Inc., creator of the SAFH2O UV water purification and filtration systems is proud to present a line of four ultraviolet water purification systems. By combining .5 micron carbon filtration and the power of germicidal UV, these systems remove lead, chlorine, E. Coli, coliform bacteria, viruses, algae, foul tastes and odors, and many other contaminants. SAFH2O UV systems provide safe, clean water from nearly any water source. For users whose source water contains high amounts of salt, flourine, arsenic, or other dissolved solids, please contact us directly and we will work with you to design an affordable system to address your drinking water needs. SAFH2O UV systems provide a safe, affordable and effective alternative to a reverse osmosis water filter, distillation, ionization, ozonation, and bottled
water. Whether you are looking for a system for your home, RV, or boat, or if your drinking water comes from a well or city water supply, we have a model that will meet your needs.
The strength of a dose is a product of the UV light intensity and exposure time. To ensure that the water entering the UV chamber is free of sediment, which may cast shadows and provide shelter for microorganisms, and to screen out the larger, more hardy life-forms, such as cryptosporidium cysts, microfiltration, down to .5 microns, must be used in conjunction with a Germicidal Ultraviolet water purification system.
Is it safe?
Absolutely. Ultraviolet light does not irradiate, contaminate, or change the molecular structure of your drinking water. UV light is a natural, safe, and effective way of eradicating microbial growth without posing a danger to humans or pets.
Is it environmentally friendly?
Yes. For every gallon of water pumped into a germicidal UV system, one gallon of clean water is created. There is no waste involved in the process – avoiding costly ‘flushing’ required by Reverse-Osmosis systems.
Is it affordable?
With purification units starting below $150, a germicidal UV system can provide safe, clean water for a fraction of the cost of bottled water. After the initial purchase, the average annual maintenance cost is less than $30 – providing safe, clean water for pennies a day!
In early 2012, San Francisco will open the nation's third largest ultraviolet water treatment factility in effort to meet new EPA guidelines and to protect residents from cryptosporidium contamination. -- San Francisco Examiner 12/31/09
